Dear Frozen in Florida,
Did you seriously just complain about one 25degree day?? Before you start feeling too sorry for yourself I'm gonna set the record straight! Are you
listenin girl? Did you know that Ohio had only a handful of days above 30 degrees for the entire month of January?? Did you know that in my area we got around 40 inches of snow this January??? Did you know that we almost broke the record for the most snowfall during a January month since 1979??? Did you know that every time we get more than 3 inches of snow I get to spend 90 minutes instead of the usual 45 minutes trying to drive to work?? My gas bill, just to keep my house at a lovely 65degrees chilly was just over $450 last month. And in case a left you with any doubt that I have it just a tad worse than you, I'm enclosing some pictures of my driveway taken about 10 minutes ago. The last 2 days have been "warm" you know, like upper 30's.
Photo number one is of my driveway after 2 days of thaw
Photo number 2. I was trying to show you in comparison
to the height of my garbage pale how much snow is piled on my lawn
here I was snapping a pic of my almost covered ADT sign.
also check out the height of snow in comparison with my bumper.
See how the snow is like 1/2 way to my kitchen window
So, Frozen in Florida could you kindly quit rubbing your lovely raccoon spotting weather in my face? and next time you feel like snapping a photo of "frozen" landscape, send me a pic of an orange tree instead. That way I can at least dream of spring!
Love always!
Chilly Chessie

I was laughing 2 nights ago because our govenor came on t.v and declard Florida in a state of Emergency becasue it was going down to 20 degrees! Ha.. lol!
Ok, so I'm rolling at your post, then started crying when I read Justine's comment. You both rock!
Think I'll just stay out of this family discussion. But, it has been very cold here in Fl.:) I have a solution, moved to FL.
Hugs,
Chris
Hi Chessie! Funny post.............your cousin Justine is a CRY BABY. I was born in WI and my family is here so I wouldn't leave. We just had a melting weekend.............only edges of driveways and piles from plows left.
Kiki (I can't be Jill, because that confuses Justine-- she has so many in her life!)
Knock, knock; can Chessie come out to play and help me build a snow person....man? Your cousin Justine has made two requests that I come and visit you. Maybe she is being polite and trying to get rid of me...ha, ha. (She is probably tired of hearing me whine about Canada and our winter.)
Can sympathize with you regarding the snow but I think we might have even a bit more than you. NOT fun I know.
KEEP WARM girl and remember there is always the consolation that at least there is little chance of US suffering from an attack of Heat Exhaustion or a Sunstroke.
WISHING YOU A SUPER SUNDAY evening! -Brenda-
I'm from northern Ohio too and I feel your pain.
I am SO ready for spring! It's supposed to get up to 50 this week! I am thrilled!

I'm a new bogging buddy of Justine's.... I think you girls should pour yourself something in a tall glass with a LOT of Rum, stuff it with a fruit kabob and a little umbrella! I promise after a few of these you're gonna feel a tropical heatwave!
Sweet Wishes,
Sara
You must participate in my recent post.. then scroll down and read my post from the weekend. It will enlighten you I am sure! :)
Happy Valentine's Day!
To my Blog slacker cousin!
I was having computer issues when I originally read this post and my comment must not have gone through. I have no idea what witty, clever smart ass remark I left at the time, and now I got nothin'. But this absolutely cracked me up, as did Justine's reply. You're both too much!
